It appears after last year's abnormal amount of snow fall, a few people around here are trying to cut down on their shoveling this year by installing snow fence in their yards. This is so simple but from what I've seen it needs to be a home handyman tip.
There's a right way and a wrong way when it comes to putting up snow fence and it seems every yard I've seen so far, is doing it wrong and it's going to increase the shoveling. So if there's anyone here that has as much time to burn as I do, play my snow fence game.
Here's a illustration of a yard, the predominate winds comes from the NW. Simply state which 2 letters you would use (example A - E) to indicate where you'd put your snow fence in this yard.
There's only one rule, (a bylaw actually) you can't install snow fence that will cause snow to block a street or roadway.
I'll check back in a couple of days to see if anyone here needs the home handyman tip.
I'm sure this seems pretty stupid but it would only take one good blizzard and you'd wish that you knew the right way to put up a snow fence.
