Calgary's very logical.. start at center street and count up

well, not quite that easy......sure it'sthat way in the older parts of town like in mount pleasant and tuxedo park and stuff where i used to live before, but when you get into the parts with crescents and stuff it's only easy if u know the city.
it's easy because the city is divided in 4 quadrants but after that u gotta know what quadrant the community is in to find it.
pretty much all the streets are named after the community they are in except for the numbered ones. for example: hunterhorn, huntsford, hunterview, are all in the community of huntington. however, huntington community spans from deerfoot trail (hwy 2) which is NE all the way west to 14th st NW, so u gotta look at the quadrant designation too because a community can lie in 2 dif quadrants. it gets confusing even more if u don't know the city because there is also a community called whitehorn, which is entirely NE, east of deerfoot. one could easily mistake hunterhorn (a street name in huntington) for being in whitehorn because of the 'horn' in the name.
once u get used to it though it makes perfect sense and is really easy to get around especially because the main thoroughfares are easy to navigate if one is giving directions.

Good luck getting a job in the Post Office if you get that confused.Start adding in compass directions to the street name,or even duplicate street names then look out..
