After you take the sheet out of the dryer, and you have spent 10 minutes trying to fold it in a way that makes sense, take the fuckin thing and roll it up any way into a tight little ball, open up the linen cupboard, heave the ball of cotten/linen into the cupboard, and slam the goddamn door. There! Done till the next time one of these fuckin things comes through the laundry again!

I think that's a big reason why you almost never see fitted sheets in the military: not even your DI would be able to fold the bloody thing in a militarily acceptable fashion!

Oh they would find a way, never underestimate the military need to make something as unnecessarily difficult.

When I lived in 'the city' I used to take my laundry to a drop-off service. I did that for a couple of years. It was great. About $15.00/week.

Now, I kinda got a pretty simple system. I don't even have a laundry hamper. I just keep putting the dirty clothes in the washer, and when it's full then I run it!

I just put the sheets right back on the bed.

We used to go to a condo on Maui, and they had the easiest way of folding the sheets, with the pillowcase, fitted and flat sheets all in one bundle. It was really simple and quite compact... but I forget how it was done.

that's an urban legend!

Just leave 'em in the mountainous pile of clean clothes that are not folded either. Wait, does that only happen at my house?
