The problem with a breatherlizer in a car is that what keeps the driver from haveing someone else blow into it. Thus bypassing the system.

I just heard back from Mothers against drunk driving. They had this idea last year, with the same thing in mind that I did, to save lifes. This thing is like a go. I mean it will they said like take about 10 years to implement, but this consept is coming.

It's already being tested. I am really excited, becasue I had the idea, and it would seem others have had the same idea and it's already being tested out in several places.

I am really excited cause I think this could save lives. Also if you are in a car with a drunk driver, unless your like Mr 40 year old virgin, do you really want to blow into the breathaliser and get into a potential accident?

I don't think this is assuming anyone is guilty, this is also not taking away responsibility from anyone, this is just helping to make sure more of the right people are behind the wheel and less of the wrong people.

I also think it's neet, cause I was trying to figure out how many letters I was going to have to write to get this idea implemented and it's already being done. That's like thinking and moving at the speed of light, kinda neat.

You mean you're really excited because you know you're being annoying.

Why not make it a law to have to wear a helmet at all times? Better safe than sorry, eh? Of course, you could apply for a permit to be allowed to remove it when you go to bed.

You really are being a nutcase , think about it . People with motivations like yourself are like pointing a loaded gun at peoples heads literally (the law). You really think forcing an entire nation to sponsor you and your idea by force to save a small amount of lives is justified ? Please tell me which, " for profit organization" you belong to so I can stop supporting them . If you know someone close to you who was killed by drunk driving all I can say is , sorry to hear this , it must be painful .

I have a better idea than your own :
Apply the $460 Alcokey to the same risk factors as Life Insurance . If you drink you would be considered a risk factor so you would be required to have the Alcokey installed on your vehicle to enjoy your happy blowing . (Another silly idea for legislation)

Considering all the possibilities beyond drunk driving , including road rage , running red lights , poor attention to traffic , bad driving skills , parking in driving lanes , intersections instead of overpasses , two way traffic , one way traffic , blind spots , slippery roads , rush hour , arrogant driving , speeding , driving to slow , school zones instead of over and under pedestrian passes etc etc a personal titanium shell equipped with jaws of life , sprinkler system for fire , ejection button self applying or auto impact , and parachute for cliff jumping drivers might be more to your liking . LOL

There will come a day where you will hate people like yourself with great ideas but who have serious issues with applying these ideas to everyone . I'm sure if you sat back and thought about it you would come up with a few legislated dislikes of your own . The problem with todays world versus yesterdays is it has intensified so much it's not like people are not noticing it .

I think your excitment is a little SAD and MAD and since 10 years to implement is the focus of your agenda , you are neither MADD or SADD but imposing in the worst way . In your quest just remember one thing , " I pay may way as a smoker and so shall drunk drivers " It is not the general publics responsibility .

I know wearing a helmet at all times would make me feel safer - although it might make it a tad difficult to wash my hair in the shower. 8)
