Its not fair to me, and others like me, if these jackarses get in. Thats my opinion about it
Soulsedge
i can see were you are coming from soulsedge, but it is the canadain way . It only gets worst once you move here, heck ontario tax money is most likly paying for the Airborne deserter's defense in court. Then he has disgraced the USMC , by havinga fake and phoney decorated staff sargent as a expert witness, he him self is a deserter also hiding here in ontario . He was caught in a armouries in hamilton ont, running his mouth on all the killing he has done, drunk on beer, trying to join up.
Soulsedge , the ont tax payer will be paying for his defense most likly as well, heck they both just may be on welfare , or some other goverment money , even free unlimited health care, providing one dose not mind the wait.
so as a disgrunteled canadain that i am , why in the heck would you wish to move to canada. I be interested in your reasons, because you have been trying and trying for some time to get here? I know if I could, I like to move too , ... south

why would you think i wish to move to the states, i do not recall saying that, but if i could move and given the chance i would , trust me . as i think this counrty is a joke in my eyes, a step ahead of mexico , but not a big one. But give it a few years and some more high class personal imports, stripper, deserters , terrorest , world class sick killers, ( peter ing), alowing forengin folk to burn our flag on our capitial hill , on tv, bend over backwards to please any minority laws changes they wish to see.. Just look at england and u will see were we will be in less than a decade. Just the mold and rot our social fabric needs , but if i have mentioned a miss truth , feel free to point it out . Before you do this however, please tell the world what you yourself has done for this country , ie served in the military social system , police , fire dept etc , or have you been just a social parisite feeding out of the free trough, helping the social decay of canada ?
i level this at most anyone here not just ruez or are just a ruse

I say move to the states because that happens to be the country directly south of us, and your post said you wanted to move south. Frankly I could care less where you move, you obviously don't want to be here. As for what I contribute, well I go to work everyday, I pay my taxes, and I don't break the law. I know Canada has some problems to work out, like EVERY other country in the world, but I'm not gonna sit here and bitch and moan about how it sucks, and how I'd like to leave. So anyways like I said, any help you need just mention it.

I see alot of talk here about the UN saying it is an illegal war and I have to wonder, why do we in Canada have this obsession with following the UN blindly in everything they say or do.
This is the same UN that put countries like Libya in charge of human rights investigations. The same UN that is trying to explain the oil for food plan that seemed to benefit Kofi Annan's son for a couple of hundred thousand bucks. The same UN where despots and dictators go to practice democracy that would get their own citizens jailed or shot!
Time to open our eyes people, the UN was a good idea but is in dire need of an overhaul. People who love spouting about the UN being the only measure for doing anything, you need to pull the blinders off!
If we as a country wish to be taken seriously we should start making our own decisions in regards to foreign affairs and not letting the UN do our thinking for us.
In closing think about some of the UN's highlights;
1. Rwanda
2. Korea(still technically at war)
3. Somalia
4. Kosovo(also not sanctioned but Canada participated. When do the war crime trials start for Jean Chretien and company)
5. Sudan(anything done yet!)
Have a nice day!

Quote: I see alot of talk here about the UN saying it is an illegal war and I have to wonder, why do we in Canada have this obsession with following the UN blindly in everything they say or do. We don't follow blindly, but we do work through the UN. The war in Iraq is illegal according to laws that we helped write. The US helped write them too...back in the days when they weren't a rogue nation. Quote: If we as a country wish to be taken seriously we should start making our own decisions in regards to foreign affairs and not letting the UN do our thinking for us. We do make our own decisions. That's why Georgie was so pissed off at us for all these years. Working with the UN allows us the freedom to make those decisions. Quote: 1. Rwanda it was France and the US that blocked Dallaire's plan there, ignoring his calls for help. Experts have said that his plan most likely would have worked. Quote: 2. Korea(still technically at war) Would a total war with China, including nukes, have been a better solution? Quote: 3. Somalia Again...there was interference from members of the Security Council that kept anything from happening until it was already a failed state. Quote: 4. Kosovo(also not sanctioned but Canada participated. When do the war crime trials start for Jean Chretien and company) The UN said they wouldn't condemn it before major action started. It was a tacit nod, but the best they could manage given the political situation at the time. Quote: 5. Sudan(anything done yet!)
Again, there is wrangling in the Security Council about what to do.
You've ignored the fact that the UN came out with sweeping suggestions for reform just this week, 3CP0. They would have liked to take the vetos away from the SC too, but there's no way to get that by the veto. One of the countries most likely to veto that? Your precious United States.
Nobody denies there are problems within the UN, but the fact is that every attempt at meaningful reform has been blocked, usually by the United States. The problems also stem very much from the political games the five permanent members play.
You can play that rabid Republican game of trying to undermine the UN and blame it for every problem that there is in the world. Start digging though and you'll see that those problems generally start when some half-bright warmonger with a drawl starts dicking around in the developing world.

Once again UN apologists resort to stupid name calling. Rev EVERY time somebody posts something you don't agree with you start with the name calling.
C3PO is a robot from your little fantasy movies, 2CDO is an acronym from the military, from a proud unit that you wouldn't have the mustard to make. I know it must pain you that we have a military but what can you do?
I know if I was Rev Blair with his somewhat childish outlook on life, I'll resort to ridiculing his choice of name. I've ignored you but like I said before if you can't respond to things without the name calling and you're juvenile brand of humour, do me a favour and crawl back into your NDP fantasy fueled world and leave all the problems for the men to sort out.
Also there was a post earlier about would you fight if Canada was invaded, I believe your answer was the rest of the world would come to help, just what I thought you are a fucking COWARD! Won't even fight for your country.
So hide behind your keyboard, keep making snide remarks, you've now been exposed for the gutless piece of shit I thought you were.
People like you are what is running this country down!

You need to learn the facts, Godz. That means looking at the situation from the beginning instead of when Fox News picked it up and taking the to understand the greater context of what was happening in the world at the time.
That will shake the shit out of your narrow and myopic worldview though, so I know you won't do it.

Also Rev, as for your comment on my precious US. My country is Canada, I work in Canada, for Canada as a member of the Forces. Get your facts straight. Maybe you would like to move to a more left-leaning country that you would try to turn Canada into. I propose raising a fund to ship your useless ass to, lets see, Cuba, North Korea, Libya or maybe one of your favorite muslim countries Saudi Arabia or maybe Syria(just don't dare practise any religion other than Islam, you won't like the results)
Later!

No, what I mean is that you need to learn the facts. What set off the genocide in Rwanda? Who had that rocket last? Who was fucking around next door in Uganda? What were they doing there? Why? How did it play into the situation in Rwanda? What kind of things were going on behind the scenes?
You see, those things are called facts. Go learn them and maybe, just maybe, you'd be capable of having an informed discussion.

You've taken the view that we should follow the US around and that the UN is wrong, 3CP0.
You are nothing but a little fucking weasel hiding your inadequacies behind a claim to be in the armed forces. Crawl up your ass, little buddy...I don't give a flying fuck what you do for a living, your hatred of the citizens of this country comes through loud and clear in the things that you've posted here. Your insane willingness to follow a rogue nation into imperialist wars for natural resources shows you have no respect for international law.
If you are part of our armed forces, and that's a pretty big if, then I hope to Christ that your betters keep you on a short leash so you don't embarrass your country.

Hey Rev, just a question, Are facts only facts if you agree with them? You are such a child. Still ignoring my question I see. Come on Rev tough guy would you fight for your country if it is invaded?
It's not a tough question, all it needs are a yes or NO.
By the way, you don't need to answer it, we all know the answer. I'll tell you what, I'll do the fighting if it happens and you can go with the women and children. You see Rev I'll fight for my country, even for worthless scum like yourself!
I've got more respect for terrorists than you, at least they're doing something other than hiding behind a computer.
Have a nice day.
