Parking anywhere in Toronto, especially downtown, is an exercise in futility. Anyone who lives there can tell you that the parking signs contradict themselves so badly, you need a lawyer to tell you if it's OK to park.

For example, on many downtown streets there are parking signs which say you can park free for one hour between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, but right below that there's two signs that read no parking between 4:00 and 6:00 PM and no standing between 12:00 noon and 6:00 PM. Some other signs thrown in for good measure, then to top that all off, there's a parking meter in the spot you want to park in? Where's the lawyer?
