I have had about enough of ultra-conservative parents. Also, the leaders who have the same sense: none.
Like these people now complaining about SpongeBob Squarepants because it "promotes homosexuallity". That is the BIGGEST load of SH*T I have heard in a long long time! Firstly, lets look at the facts. First...its a F**king cartoon about a sea sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea! His friend is a squirrel that also lives underwater via the aide of scuba gear. Also, they talk, which last I checked, starfish, sea sponges and squirells don't. Also, if you believe that by watching a cartoon that will alone make your child "turn gay", you are messed up. I believe that science is now saying people are born with a gene that will predetermine if the child will be homo or hetero.
Now, onto something else that bugs me about ultra-conservative parents. In schools (at least up to high-school level), they have all but eliminated winners and losers. I hate to inform people, but, in real life there are winners and there are losers. There was a petition that a small group of parents at my school wanted people to sign, but they got voted against. It stated that they wanted to eliminate "Student Of The Month" because it makes the students that don't make it inferior. People who do very well deserve to be recognized. And, the kids who didn't make it may even try harder next month. Well, if we eliminate that, we may as well have the teachers mark on the effort system. "Oh, well, that child tried very hard, we'll give him an A+" These kids are pushed through school. Given standing granted (you basically fail the course but they let you pass). I'm sorry, but I believe you failed english 10, take it again, fail it again, oh well, take it again. The way they are doing it now, is if you fail a course 2 times (as long as it isn't a grade 12 course) they give you a standing granted. At the end of highschool some kids get their diploma but it may as well be nothing. I follow a quote in my life: "Its not the IQ, its the I can" If you try hard enough, you can do anything.
Well, I bet some people were like, "This is a long post, I'll just skip it". Oh well, I got to voice my opinion. Add your opinion here.

Watz rong with beeing pushed thru skool? They gayv me a graad 12, and look hoew good i funkshun. I eavin hav a web cite!
Your right about Spongebob. These guys wouln't know gay if it slapped them on the face. Tinky-Winky, on the other hand, is a flamer.
I'm not sure how well any of the homophobes would be able to handle this "proof".
I'm actually a wee bit leary of providing this proof.
Well..................here it is
INK AND PAPER CHARACTERS ARE NOT SENTIENT BEINGS AND CAN NOT HAVE A SEXUAL ORIENTATION.
Besides which........aren't sea sponges and starfish asexual? Oh. I get it now...perhaps by watching this type of programming with asexual characters young children will become asexual themselves.....

Not sentient beings! What about Roger Rabbit? Or Spongebob the movie? And Tinky-winky is not paper and ink. Your argument is full a holes.
Go ahead and let it out Dmp08. Back in the day you had a problem you went outside after class and had a little dust up off school grounds and dealt with the problem. Now everyone at the schools can't look at another kid wrong and poof three days off. You kids walk around with all that bunched up inside and without a way to release sometimes it comes out bad like Columbine. The Okanogan used to be the cruzing capital of B.C Fri and Sat nights the cars the tunes the parties. Life was pretty stress free then and you got along with the cops because they were not hounded to hound you evey minute of the day. I wouldn't want to be a kid again for anything.

The cops aren't that leanient anymore though. They patrol the beaches during the summer and some 'old people' wanted to put a curfew on beach-goers for them to be off the beaches by 10pm. The beaches right now close at midnight. Last summer me and my friend almost got a ticket because we we're heading from my old house (like 2 blocks from the beach) to his house. We decided to stroll along the beach walkway and these cops stopped beside us. "The beach is closed, the sign says so, so we're gonna have to give yhou a ticket" Luckily for us a drunk guy on the beach yelled out "Dumb cops! Leave people alone...PIGS!" The cops jumped off the walkway onto the sand to get this guy. Me and my friend ran though the park to get away from a ticket. We were just walking. We hadn't drank/done drugs, we weren't going to. Just walking from house to house.

Old people ruined life here in Abbotsford as well. You've all probably heard of the Abbotsford Airshow right? Well, in the mid-90's there were few restrictions on where the jets could fly. What this meant for me was that, since my house in under one hte approach routes to the airport, jets would contantly fly over my house. In fact, one time, all six blue angels buzzed my house Top Gun style. But then a couple of old people complained and now the jets take a round about route over Abbotsford so you only see them if you go to the Airshow and get gouged.
Another sigh of how crazy some people are here in Abbotsford. Abby is home to a large Mennonite community. And since they are supposed to be pacifists, a few enterprising people dipped their hands in red paint and smeared the stealth bomber. Guess how happy the Americans were about that...Now, every time the f-117 comes to the airshow, it has an armed guard by it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again..Stupid people ruin the world for everyone else

Everyone is to busy sticking their noses into everyone elses bussines. Seems like things started to go down hill in the early 80's and by the mid to late 80's after the riot in Kelowna the good life as we knew in the Okanogan split for ever.
I was cruizin that night with my rod after the concert it was like a mardi gras atmosphere untill that cop wacked that kid with a baton and all hell broke loose.
Gone are the days when people could spend their time and money on a ride and not get hassled. Instead of having young people gathered in one area where they are easy to keep track of they would rather have them running around tagging and other like activities. Now that labels all of the kids with the same brush. IE ticket for walking on a public beach.
While the cops shouted “u can’t touch this,” 2000 looted and pillaged in the BC resort community of Penticton. Windows were smashed, a department store was robbed, and a mob of thirsty rioters broke into a liquor store while the pigs lobbed tear gas in an attempt to quell the violence. The riot apparently broke out after 20 teenaged misfits, hyped up on Hammer, began chucking rocks at a traffic cop. The tally: over 50 arrests, 60 injuries, and one shamed, pathetic rapper in an oversized, purple jumpsuit.
Also the beloved concession stand shaped like a giant peach was rolled off the beach into the lake by rioters.
