Always wondered what the appeal for scratchers is... as if the way you rubbed your ticket, what you used to rub it with and in what order you rubbed it could mysteriously determine if you win or not.

No doubt.

My brother buys them for all the adults in our family for Christmas as stocking stuffers - we all get ten $1 tickets and maybe get $2-5 in winnings - a good year is getting more than $10. Since he started this 'tradition' in the 90s, he has probably bought a couple thousand of them in total (we have a big family).

It's a valuable reminder every year at how bad the odds on these things are.

The inequality is more due to the stupidity of the Government and the common people then it is due to fat exec's or ubber rich. They spout on and on about taxing the rich but what they really have done is taxed the middle class to the point where they are now considered poor. They then turn around and blame it on the rich. Wake up and smell the shit that is coming out of the politician’s mouths. They have taxed the hell out of the middle and poor classes to fund programs to help the poor. This is a revolving issue set up to increase ones dependence upon the Government. Self dependence and work ethic be dammed the Government wants you to depend upon them so they can justify their spending and intrusions into peoples lives.
