One thing you need to consider here sapper is that televangelists are really just guys trying to make big bucks off of peoples susceptibility to religion. People have this big hole in their lives (and I don't wish to discuss religion with you here, let's just agree that many people feel a "need.") and the evangelists come in and exploit the need, much like a used car dealer coming on to people who can't afford a car, take their money and give them little in return. Think Snake oil here. There was a need and the need was filled with useless, expensive drink. Do you expect the Snake Oil salesman to be moral, the same goes for the Televangelist. (Please, I am not making a statement about the morality of a persons sexual preference, I am using their definitions here.)
