It's really simple.

Debate issues, not other posters.

Wit is more effective when you know how to use the site tools.

When you don't, you just show dumb.

If you want to post pics of your girlfriend, I'd say use the 'Moneymaker Monday' thread.

FrenchPatriot FrenchPatriot:
God’s law versus secular law. Which is moral?

Our literature is rife with criticisms of God’s laws denouncing them as immoral.
This is mostly done by non-believers and secular law makers and even many believers. The whole world has rejected the morality of God’s law.

Satan shall deceive the whole world. That is scripture.

Believers say that God’s laws are moral; yet very few believers are trying to push for adoption of God’s laws by secular governments.

If believers believed that God’s laws are moral, it follows that they would be trying to have them implemented by governments. Strangely, they do not.

Can a believer believe in God yet not believe in his laws?

No believer is living by God’s law.

If believers believe in God’s laws, should believers be living by them?

Law without punishment is impotent law.

Should believers demand that secular law use God’s punishments where those few laws are basically identical?

Regards
DL

How much you understand about God's Law?

Mosaic Law is just a set of Law attached to a covenant made with the ancient Jews. No one can abide by the absolute version of God's Law (which was broken by Adam) which is not attached to any covenant. Humans can thus only keep the Law attached to a covenant.

The Law of each and every covenant bears the meaning/message that "if you can keep the Law up to a standard set forth by God, you will be saved by God's grace (through Christ)".

The primary purpose of God's Law is very different from that of the secular Law. The purpose of secular is to maintain order of the current society in current time. The purpose of God's Law however, is to identify the righteous in His eyes by nailing only the wicked under His Law.

When even the righteous offended Law in an unacceptable manner, God will update His covenant to introduce more grace such that the righteous can be rescued.

Currently, we have 2 sets of Law made effective to us. Mosaic Law is for the Jews to keep. As for Gentiles (non-Jews or secular Jews as well), they keep the Law God has written in their hearts.

On the other hand, Secular Law actually will have to rely on God's Law written in our hearts to work at all. No one actually reads all the contents of secular in order to abide by. We rely on our moral sense (i.e., given by the Law written in our hearts) to act such we won't offend laws (secular law) but without actually reading them.

This is so because large portion of the secular law is closely related to our moral sense. Even these secular laws are inherited from God's Law (which is written in our hearts).

Okay I'll bite what Law did Adam break? Because it was not a law but a command he broke. Adam was told not to eat from the tree (a command) of knowledge and he did (disobedience).

Please if you are coming here to spread the Word. Spread the truth not your interoperation of the Word.

Last I saw, only 2 or 3 of the 12 commandments are against the law.
