The Pastor in this story makes a good point in a video I watched. Fanatical Christians believe that you can only get to Heaven thru Jaysus (As the story says, they believe Ghandi is in hell.) The pastor says that if Jesus is the only one that can save you from everlasting torment in hell, then in effect he's saving people from his Father who has condemned them there. Powerful stuff.

No Andy, hell is not dead because Iggy is still in Canada...

On a more serious note anyone who states that someone will rot in hell because he does not pray to Jesus is a fuck nut who will probably end up in hell themselves for intolerance. If you want a good afterlife, lead a good life.....just my 2 cents

Well then you're set, because my bet is that Iggy will soon disappear. He won't get to be PM, and he'll lose interest. Dunno why he got into politics in the first place, he's got better things to do. He's not like Harper who's never held a real job in his life and just lives, breathes and shits politics. Don't know how Laureen can stand the smell.

I was reading that. I don't know if the hell really exist, but I like the general idea of it :)

Stephen Harper believes that most of us are destined to hell. (could hell be a metaphor for Edmonton)

He believes that the Earth is about 7000 years old.

He believes that man and dinosaurs existed at the same time.

Etc.

We are in good hands with Harper.

My search engine must be fairly well up to date:

Harper, a Presbyterian by background, finds himself spiritually "at home" in Christian and Missionary Alliance congregations in Calgary and Ottawa. Those who know him attest that he listens carefully to what his pastors and some Christian mentors have to say and finds strength in his understanding of the Gospel he hears. And that helps to inform his faith.

Check it out too:
http://www.cmalliance.org/about/beliefs/doctrine

Is the world really young, or is it billions of years old?

Nearly all the evidence, if logically assessed, points towards a young earth, some thousands of years old. It takes a great deal of faith to believe that the evidence is speaking of an earth that is 4.5 billion years old. Evidence is known from science, as well as history, languages, archaeology, etc. Read more about the age of the Earth.

The conventionally assumed age of the Earth, about 4,500,000,000 years, is far far too young to support evolution! We saw above that random formation of just ONE desired protein from a soup of amino acids, under the most impossibly generous conditions, would take 31,700,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years! This is the weight of evidence that must be ignored to choose to believe in evolution.

http://lighthousealliance.org/site/?p=3755

This of course will not necessarily mean that Mr.Harper believes this fundamentalist twaddle, but if not, why does he belong to this church.

Just asking.
