I have this 2-way splitter and I'm wondering which side connects to my cable Internet modem and which side to my cable television? On the left side it says 5mhz - 1ghz RFI 130 dB then at the bottom in bold it says 3.5dB. The other side on the right just says in bold 3.5dB. Does it matter which one I plug my modem and tele into? Or are they both just the same?

I would guess that you'd hook up the input to the one that's labelled different from the other two, and from those two that are labelled the same you'd hook up your TV and modem. Between the two, there's no difference I know of, so it probably doesn't matter.

Well the input doesn't say anything. But the ones going out the one of the left has writing above it and the one on the right doesn't. Maybe the writing applies to the whole splitter? Then the 3.5dB is the same for the two outputs? That was my guess but I thought Id ask around.

Sure, does no harm to ask. I don't think it'll do any actual harm to hook it up wrong either, just your stuff might not get signal.
