Can you see the Sea of Crises with your naked eye?

The size of Mare Crisium = 345 miles
The average distance to Mare Crisium = 238,855 miles = 30 "earths" away

The distance from Montreal to Toronto = 336 miles

Ah yes, 320 rods to the mile, or ~44 rods to the stadia.

(I wonder how many would know that without looking it up? ;) )

Also, at my last Ophthalmologists appointment, my eyesight was 20/10 without my glasses, and 20/8 with. :)

A rod can also be a chain if you're a surveyor.

Good for you!

After I fully retired from the last career I traded my Coke-bottle-bottom glasses for Lasik and came out with 20/20 and 20/15.

My prescription is very mild, less than .75 near sighted. I have to take them off to read the cell phone though. Aging sucks. ;)

Not strong enough for Lasik, and I have pretty good night vision so I wouldn't want to mess that up with Lasik. (one of the side effects, I understand)

Oh, yeah. My night vision is completely gone. Between Lasik and laser surgeries for detached retina it's so bad that I won't drive at night anymore.
