My mistake it is LCD not plasma I was just so happy to be getting it that i typed it in wrong....it is the full hd 1080p not the 42 inch the 40 it is as big as i could go for my cabinet I had built....and i may be doing some shaving of that to get it to fit....it will sit in it so all you can see is screen no base on the tv.

I'm looking for a Panasonic. They scored well with CR. Anyone have any practical experience? The large plasma models are looking pretty attractive.

Thanks...I was looking at a 37 inch Toshiba to...but i wanted it to fit my cabinet as close as possible tv size is
Dimensions and Weights
Dimensions (Approx) Width : 38.6" (981mm) with pedestal; 38.6" (981mm) without pedestal
Dimensions (Approx) Height : 27.4" (692mm) with pedestal; 25.3" (643mm) without pedestal
Dimensions (Approx) Depth : 33.6" (265mm) with pedestal; 10.4"(110mm) without pedestal
Weight (Approx.) : 55.1lbs (25.0kg) with pedestal; 46.3lbs (24.0kg) without pedestal
cabinet is
40" width
25.6" height
that is for the opening for a tv....the whole cabinet is 50" width x 84" height its going to be close :D

I bought my tv about 2 years ago. 65" Toshiba projection
ColorStream, SRS/wow, Touch Focus, HDMI, TheatreWide,(4 picture sizes, split screen) TheatreWide HD, HDTV Monitor. Model 65H85C

I have been really happy with this one and don't think I'll be replacing it anytime soon!
