Mine was born in Welshpool and there are branches of the family in Wrexham. I was evacuated to Whitchurch during the war: not far from Wrexham. I cycled around the North often in my teen years.

I loved it there. My father was in the old orphange in Wrexham that's now the hall for St. Giles Cathedral. When I went to go check it out, the place was locked up.
The only thing I could think of was to go to the local police station and see if they knew who I could contact after I explained why I was interested in going inside. They not only knew who the caretaker was, they called the guy!
Actually, it wasn't they, it was she. And she was pretty cute and yeah, that Welsh accent on a cute girl..
