It always makes me angry when I read articles in newspapers or rants on the internet about all the money that is wasted on NASA... It is my understanding that of all the things government funds, NASA is one of the few that actually has a return on it's investment....

Brushing it off as a "a different time" is irrelevant to my question. "National unity" isn't something that was ever part of your argument.

In both cases there's an underlying political agenda. On one hand, you point out that there were significant discoveries obtained through politically-driven scientific research that can't be dismissed. On the other, you slander the scientific research being done for other political reasons as "manipulated".

You're so completely inconsistent in your arguments that it's laughable.
