Interesting side-note. Assuming that there was something "here" before the universe exploded out of nothing is false logic, yet it logically follows that the universe "had" to expand into something.

According to the best minds such as Hawking, prior to the "singularity" there was nothing and time had not began........yeah i thought that too......

Other theories were the expanding collapsing universe-----that some day the collective gravity of the universe would cease the expansion and cause the entire universe to collapse into a singularity again.(the big crunch)

That theory neccessitated the existence of "dark matter" to have enough mass to cause that. Instead what has been observed recently is that the farthest objects appear to be not just receding but accelerating..........

.........And this is only my second double..........

What I had always found interesting is that according to the "big bang theory".....in the first minutes the universe had already expanded to a size many millions of light-years across. Huh?
Then somebody reminds that for practical purposes nothing goes faster than light. HMMMMM

In mere minutes the universe expands millions of light years......my head aches..

"Within our own backyard, the Milky Way Galaxy, there could be literally 50 billion planets, of which 10 percent may be earthlike in nature," says Dr. Michio Kaku of City University of New York. "So it's hard to believe that God would create a universe and waste it, making all these barren planets."

Habitable "super-earth's" might be common. Question is, if we can't get our collective shit together properly on this rock, what gives us any right to mess up another?
