Yah i have twitter, my girlfriend uses it so I thought i would try it out. I don't update it too often though, maybe I should.

http://twitter.com/Canadaka

I have a cool plugin for Firefox that sits in the bottom right and lets me know when a new tweet appears and I can also add a tweet myself with a single click. The prorgam is called "Twitterfox". I also have a good twitter client for Windows mobile called "PocketTwit". http://code.google.com/p/pocketwit/

Anyone here use twitter?

It seems to be a great tool.
Unfortunately, I don't know any friend who uses it. They prefer to use MSN Messenger feature instead.

I heard a lot about it on the CNN channel on sat radio lately so I was going to check it out when I got home. Speaking of which, why aren't there more Canadian news radio channels on sat radio? The only one I get is Canada 360 which plays a 15 minute loop all day long. That channel shouldn't even be on sat radio.

I have a facebook app that updates my Facebook status with my Twitter.

I use Digsby for that.
It connects to AOL, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, POP.

hmm I am just trying this Digsby, but so far i have to give it a negative review. The installer is spamware, asks me to install no fewer than 5 other programs and toolbar shit. The program trys to force itself into your computer at every chance it gets.

Digsby is also using more than double the amount of memory that WLM is using and it keeps gadget programs for facebook and twitter running in the taskbar all the time

I think i will stick with Windows Live Messenger, I have no need to use other networks, I only use Messenger. Digsby has lots of nice customization options, but i'm worried about ad/spareware, i'm doing a full scan now. I also have all my chat logs since 2001 with WLM, so I want to continue using that format.

This is the firefox plugin i use: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5081

I agree that you must take care while installing it. Like some other freewares, it tries to get some pub money. But if you don't select the bars, etc, you will be okay.

You can customize it a lot. I only keep the main Digsby icon and the Gmail icon (with the number of new emails) in the taskbar.

Might be an idea. I'm just checking it out right now, not sure if it's something I'll use a lot though.
