What’s your view? Evaluating controversial scientific findings

We would like to invite you to participate in a new study conducted by Sara Prot and her team from Iowa State University.

We are interested in understanding how members of the public evaluate scientific findings on controversial topics (such as climate change, safety of vaccinations, violent video game effects, capital punishment etc.).

Here is the link to the study:
https://iastatepsychhci.az1.qualtrics.c ... dja8ZiVeyF

This is an online study that will take approximately 5 minutes of your time.

Thanks again and if you have any questions, please contact Sara Prot or Dr. Kevin Blankenship at 515-294-2335.

Fascism is typically expressed as authoritarian socialism and is on the left of the political spectrum.

A true 'right wing extremist" would actually be an ideological anarchist who believes in individual self governance.

I'd redo your scale as follows:

Anarchist
Libertarian
Ideological Conservative
Conditional Conservative
Moderate/Neutral
Liberal
Socialist
Fascist (Authoritarian Socialist)
Communist

Damn, you wear your ignorance like a badge of honor, don't you?

Fascists are always a clear and present danger first to other fascists and then to others.

The Nazis had The Night of The Long Knives and the Italian Fascists had a three-year long orgy of blood in which they slaughtered the ideologically impure amongst their own supporters.

In the particular case of the Nazis it was exactly the reactionaries of the Brown Shirts who were targeted for death.

The idea is that the revolutionaries and radicals who help overthrow a government are the greatest threat to the new government for the reason that they have the proven ability to overthrow a government. Therefore the first thing you have to do after a leftist revolution is to round up and kill the leaders of your revolution so they're not a threat to you.

Not that the fascists came up with that original idea, oh no, that was your buddy Lenin.

Zealots kill allies out of competition. Don't be obnoxiously disingenuous. The Night of the Long Knives or the Great Purge were not committed with the same purpose as the Reichstag scapegoating or the attack on the Kulaks.

Ideologues who murder their own aim to consolidate power. The enemy written in their papers are not their own. A Stalinist wants to hang a Trotskyite, they call him a fascist collaborator... A fascist wants to hang a fellow reactionary, they call him a communist sympathizer...

The ridiculous "liberty" scale you anarcho-capitalists insist upon serves absolutely no purpose but to insult; it is an entirely self-serving back-patting concept only pushed by those who think they'll benefit from it.

So what of an anarcho-communist on your scale? The left-right scale tolerates this with an easily added axis for social restraints, but yours, somehow I'm to decide which far side of the scale i'm on? Certainly you don't feel I'm in the same corner as you, so I must be "communist" while you are "anarchist" or "libertarian", despite clearly having done less throughout my life to support government establishments than you have.

Frankly, I think killing your apparent allies in order to consolidate power is something that predates the industrial revolution.
