They are,I live about 20 miles from them.A bud of mine just got the contract to excavate the foundations for another 400 turbines.
I drive to my daughter's in Creston. It's really neat going through the wind farm. There is another one in Manitoba, west of Morris on Hwy 23. I think it's right where the road takes off out of the Lake Agassiz basin. There is another, monster windfarm someplace in North Dakota or perhaps South Dakota along the Missouri. It is truly huge.
In Cowley you can still drive right up to them and stand underneath just to get a feeling of the sheer size of these things.
A friend of mine just got a contract to dig 60 more foundations this summer for them.
