The problem as always, is that the powerful nations insist on an uneven playing field, so you wind up with all sorts of tools for them to maintain their edge over the little guys. The truly funny thing is that the arrogant five are always surprised when the majority of little nations gang up on them in a desperate attempt to shift the playing field, even for a moment.
Roll your eyes all you want. The UN has become one the most corrupt organisations on the planet. It's ineffectual incompetence shows no bounds, unless of course it's slagging Israel.
The UN would not know what a playing field was, even if it came and smacked their collective ego in the face.
I'll take the UN over the USA, China, or any other country telling the rest of us what's fair and what's not. I guess you're more a fan of dictatorships than democracy huh? Not me...
