Here is a story written by a hardcore Vancouver Caucks fan that I found from perhaps the best Canucks site on the web. http://canucksalmanac.net

So. I'm heading over to galiano island on friday night. getting the
630 so we can get to the hummingbird in time for kick off. we drive up
to the bc ferries lady and she says, "we're running half an hour
late". We say "SHIT!!! THAT SUCKS ASS". So we pull into lane 15
awaiting the late ferry. Listen to the pregame on the radio. Ferry
finally comes, load on around 710. Of course we then realize the
stupid ferry people use too much metal in their boats (not the fast
ones though...) so we can't get the radio in the car anymore. head up
for a burger. I decide on the bacon cheeseburger platter. It comes
with the most useless grunty shrivelled piece of bacon this side of...
well... somewhere with shitty bacon. i hide the bacon under the
plate. I feel stupid and put the bacon back on the burger. I ask how
much the difference is between the regular platter and bacon one. 30
cents. She doesn't bat an eye and my point is not taken. We eat and I
make sure to use at least 31 cents worth of ketchup. I notice someone
sitting on the deck outside listening to the radio on a walkman. Check
the clock on the wall. 729. I decide i'm gonna try to get the game put
on the PA. I ask the chief steward. He says no. I ask a lady in the
cafateria if they have a radio in the kitchen. She says "i wish"... A
fellow (who i kinda know, oddly) overhears and says that someone in
the front of the boat has a tv and the game is just starting. We RUN
up to the front only to catch the beginning of the canadian national
anthem. some EXCELLENT soul has brought about a 25 inch tv up from
their car and placed it on a garbage can right up in the front window.
Antenae adjusted. Everyone (about 85 people?) joins in on the anthem
and we watch the first 10 minutes of the first period. TV timeout,
race to the car, race to the pub and only miss about 2 minutes of the
game. later: tie with one second left. win in OT. all in all one of
the best game watching experiences of my life. life is pretty good.
enjoy the games!!

Cool Olympic gold story written by ME..
A few of us were following the Olympic Hockey, both womens and mens. Well The womens was great but the mens was the one we were waiting for.
Well game after great game we watched until THE game was on.
CANADA vs THE WORLD ! ! ! ! well i'll tell you it got down to just 2 of us, my good buddy Spencer, who is going to be my best man at my upcoming wedding and myself. Well lets see we had comsumed a bottle of Grantys Scotch, and if I recall a 15 pack AND a Bubba of beer. Well when tha last whistle blew, and we had done it, I was standing there in the mioddle of the living room singing O Canada with all the others and with great big tears coursing down my cheeks. At this time my buddy Spencer thought it would be a good Idea to let the whole apt complex know that Canada won. He grabbed my Canafa Flag and wearing only his boxer brief under wear went down the elevator and out to the parking lot and ran around in the snow screaming that CANADA HAD WON. After about 5 or so minute he came back up and we sat there congratulating each other and finished of the scotch... Now that was a hockey story.....
