Free beer offered to beat Bayern

10,000 litres up for grabs

A German brewery has vowed to give away 10,000 litres of beer to supporters of the first team to beat Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga this season.

Bayern, like Premiership leaders Chelsea, have won six league games out of six so far this season, plus the final nine matches on their title charge in the last campaign.

"We want to create a bit of excitement," said Bitburger spokesman Dietmar Henle. "We've nothing against Bayern but there must be some tension."

Fans of Hamburg could be celebrating like they have never celebrated before on Saturday night, when the second-placed side entertain Bayern.

Bitburger have pledged to raise the offer by 1,000 litres every match until the prize has been won.

Now that's a prize. Someone should do the same thing in England. Chelsea need to stop winning.

Looks like the people of Hamburg will be liviing it up tonight. They just beat Bayern 2-0.

A similar thing happened in the Premiership.

English Champions Chelsea, who are again at the top of table, had won all of their Premiership games so far this season and they hadn't even conceded a goal. So The Sun newspaper yesterday offered £10,000 to the first player who manages to score against Chelsea, and that player would have to give the money to charity. So what happened? Today, just the day after The Sun made the offer, Aston Villa's Moore scored a goal against Chelsea in only his first game for Aston Villa this season.

However, Chelsea still won the game 2-1.

So Moore gets the £10,000.

Weird. Of a ll the people to breach the Great Wall of Chelsea, it was someone from Villa. Didn't see that coming.

Chelsea's running away with it. Liverpool keep drawing, and arsenal & Man U have lost a few and drew a few. I think Liverpool should focus entirely on winning the Chapions league again and winning the FA cup.
