Doug Gilmour, affectionately known as killer to Leafs fans, winner of the Stanley Cup with the Calgary Flames announced his retirement today.

Anyone who remembers the '92 playoff run, especially the series against the Blues, knows what kind of heart this guy had.

This is so sad. I feel like me dog died. :(

What about the 93 run ? Only to end with Gretz scoring a goal when he should have been in the penalty box for cutting Gilmour. Put an end to the Toronto vs Montreal match up.

I will remember that forever. It was the closest the Leafs have come to the Cup in the last 15 years. I cheered for the Habs in the final.
