Kirby Puckett sadly passed away at the young age of 44. He was one of the greats whose career was cut short by glaucoma and now dead from a stroke. The '91 World Series is one of the classics of all time. He will be missed.

Even though I was never a Twins fan, RIP Kirby.

I saw him play many times and he was certainly a crowd favourite. Those stout legs sure could motor around the bags and I think some of the fielders thought they'd run into him with his BIG wide turns at first and second.

I'll alwasy remember the FAT GUY dance he did in the outfield after the final out.....
