Chelsea are odds on favourites and Liverpool, Arsenal, and Man U are far above Bremen. AC milan maybe but they always choke. When's the last time an Italian team won with conviction?

You're right, I was joking about Werder Bremen being in the final. It's the team I'm rooting for but I doubt they will make it out of the first stage.

I have to take Liverpool and hated of hated teams.. Arsenal. I see an all english cup final to be honest.

Barca and Chelsea are the best teams right now, but Chelsea's win at Anderlecht was their first win away from home in Europe in over a year. They're going to have to do better. I'm also not sure if Rijkaard can navigate Europe. Maybe.

I don't think Arsenal are good enough. I don't think ManU are good enough. I didn't think Liverpool were good enough last year, but I was wrong. So with Rafa as the master technician in charge, anything is possible. I think Liverpool and Chelsea have a shot. Its interesting to note that there has only been one other time, apart from when they won the tournament, that ManU have gotten to the semi-finals in the 18 or so years Ferguson has been in charge. His team this year is much weaker than the great ManU squads of the 1990s.

You can't rule out some of the smaller fish though. Lyon are doing quite well for themselves as are Werder Bremen.
