Jimmy Johnson and pit crew stole the show,from the deke the pit crew pulled off on the second last lap to the nose to nose finish. All topped off with a huge burnout/brakestand at the end.

Hey, i never checked back here, guess I got the 500 right. Jimmys having a pretty good season so far, maybe this is his year

His pit crew jumped out ready for a pit stop and everyone pulled in........except him,it was a good deke.

Its great that creative strategy is alive an well today.
If only creative engineering were allowed: One thing that I would like to see change (but will never happen) is to throw away all the equalization rules for the different makes. Right now it really makes no difference what car you drive, just what organization you work for. I would like to see chevys dominate . . . superspeedways, fords on the short tracks, dodges on the road courses or something like that, due to actual manufacturer design. I have heard that they are going the opposite and creating an IROC style care, common to all teams for some races next year. If they do that they will be turning their back on the founders of the series
