Who else has seen their new logo? It's on www.torontobluejays.com. Apparently the Jays have been getting some heat by a few people who are pissed that this is the first time in Jays history that their logo has not had the Maple Leaf on it. Eh. Whatever.

I think the new logo is actually pretty cool. But does it mean they're just the jays now. I understand why some people are peeved though about the lack of red, a maple leaf or "toronto" it seems like they're leaving the big smoke almost...

I like the logo. I was watching The Score yesterday and people were sending emails in complaining that it didnt show any patriotism. "Their logo isnt Canadian enough!" "Wheres the Maple Leaf?" one person even said "Black inst a Canadian colour!". Like, WTF?

The bird has a maple leaf on it's shoulder, but who cares if it doesn't? Do we have such a problem with our identity that we have to have a Canadian flavour with everything that is ours? If all the US teams has stars and stripes on their uniforms, we'd be complaining they were jamming their culture down our throats.

People should just friggin relax a bit................
