Idk. Made me think of 'The Longest Yard'.
Id rather be a conservative nut job than a liberal with no nuts and no job. A liberals' compassion is limited only by the size of someone elses wallet

Gridiron Gang was also based on a true story of a youth correctional institute that started a football program as a means to break down some walls between gang members put into the same institute. Like this program in Texas they had trouble scheduling opponents in part because of the armed guard that would accompany the team.
Another pretty good football movie based on a true event:

Great story Lily! Nice to know there are still good people in the world.

There are some games in which cheering for the other side feels better than winning.
When I was down in Gainseville in september, I went to a game. These folks were amazing fans. Not only did they cheer on their own team, but when a great play was made by the opposing team they cheered. good folk down there and true sportsman....I was at a college game...it was outstanding!!!

that card is awesome...very awesome. The football game just seems like a waste of everything. I hardly call it sport, when you are cheering or the other side.
Is anyone old enough to have seen the Heidi Special. I watched in my Frat. house at UofL in 1968. Oakland vs.Jets. It's on Wiki listed as the Heidi Game. We were watching with a guy who played Tackle on the UofL team (a really crappy team), but he was big and tough and it took about six of us to keep him from throwing the T.V. out the second floor window.
I have heard that it was so unpopular that when Apollo 13 was in trouble the network refused to take a game off the air to show the breaking news.
