The other fights were awesome though

True. GSP fights have been boring as hell lately, Cudos to Shields for going toe to toe with him.

GSP is fighting Carlos Condit here in Montreal on November 17th (UFC 154). They are both outstanding fighters, however my prediction is GSP will win. If GSP ever were to fight Anderson Silva (who by the way is undefeated in the UFC), then I would have to pick Silva.

UFC 161 from Winnipeg. I TIVO'D the fights, as I wanted to watch the Cup game live. (Boston strong baby!!! :D ) I thought the most entertaining fight of the night was by Roland Delorme (who happens to be from Winnipeg). He put on a jiu jitsu clinic tonight. He performed takedowns at will. He transitioned from one submission attempt to another effortlessly. He has one of the best body locks I have ever seen. He trapped one of his opponents arms in his body lock numerous times in the fight. This guy could be the next big thing in his weight class. He needs to work on his striking, as the other guy did not have a mark on him at the end of the fight. Probably could use some conditioning work as well. He was pretty winded at the end of the fight. He is probably used to beating most people very early in his fights. Anyway congratulations to Roland on his victory. Excellent fight! This is the type of guy the UFC needs. Fun to watch, and worth every Penny for a pay per view. I look forward to seeing more of Roland Delorme in the future.

Yeah, the Roland Delorme fight was good considering it was not on the main card (prelim fight). A lot of submission attempts by Delorme, although he was not the aggressor. I did find that for the first couple of prelim fights, the judges appeared to be biased in favor of the Canadian fighters. I did not agree with some of their decisions.

I was also very disappointed with Roy "Country" Nelson's performance. I'll give him some credit in that did not quit, and went the full 3 rounds to lose by decision. Definitely needs to work on his cardio.

As for Henderson's hopes of fighting Jones for the title, he can kiss them goodbye. He loss to Evens last night means no title shot for Henderson in the near future.

Congratulations to Randa Markos for advancing to the next phase of TUF. Usually I pull for American fighters, but that Felice Herrig was such a whiny, mouthy, bitch that I was glad to see her get her comeuppance! I did a little background on Randa. It seems she has been a fighter of sorts all her life. Her family escaped from Iraq during the Gulf war. Her parents speak little English and were no help with her studies. She had to lie to her family and tell them she was doing volleyball when she was really participating in the very male dominated sport of wrestling while in high school in Windsor. Very gutsy lady! She shocked most of us when she defeated the #3 seed in the first round. She looked spectacular with her first round submission over #6 seed Felice Herrig. I really like this woman's style. I hope she takes the title. Good luck Randa!

Rhonda stings her with a left and dropped her with a right combo, at?? didn't catch the time, I'll guess at about 45 seconds of the 1st round.

And she said she wanted to play with her for awhile to inflick some pain on the girl.

Just Wow!

That had to be satisfying.

I wonder if Correia is rethinking that strategy of trash-talking Rhonda's family.

Gotta admit, I was worried. Correia came out looking like she actually believed she was as good and Rousey was as bad as she'd been saying. She almost had me believing it.

Rhonda didn't even waste an armbar on her.

Knocked her out in 34 seconds.

In front of Correia's home town crowd yet.

Oh and she dedicated the fight to Roddy Piper who gave her his "Rowdy" tag so she could call herself Rowdy Rhonda Rousey.

Loved that bit in the post fight interview where she says, "Rowdy Roddy Piper passed on. He's watching the fight with my Dad. Hope they enjoyed it."

Its time to quit calling Rhonda the best female fighter in the world and start calling her what she really is: the greatest pound for pound fighter in the world regardless of gender. She might have to start fighting men to keep the paydays coming. Her domination of women fighters is so one sided that people will not want to keep paying up to see such one sided ass whippings.
