I guess you guys love your Hockey. Wasn't great when the New York Rangers won the Stanley cup in 1994. Who did they beat again ?

Been a pretty good team since...How much money do the Rangers spend to miss the playoffs every year?

No argument from me. But I do know how it feels to win a Stanley cup.

Ahhhh....1994....was a good year. No one expected Vancouver to make it into the playoffs, let alone make it to the big dance. I listened to games 5 and 6 at Deception Pass State Park drinking gallons of weak American beer, and I mean gallons, cheering with many of my American neighbors for our team, Vancouver. As many of them said to me, why the hell would I cheer for New York, Vancouver is our NHL team. As many Vancouver people consider Seattle their NFL team. Was quite a surprise that when Vancouver scored it seemed that the entire camp ground erupted with cheering mostly from American Canuck fans.

Win,buy.Call it what you will. With the money they spend a modest amount of management should be able to get them into the playoffs again....anything can happen then! Or it might be 45 odd years before it happens again.

AAA Canadians.. now down to Single A ball in the best little ball park in the world.. Nat Bailey stadium. Worked there for 2 years when the Canadians were a AAA ball Club that was great... about 4,00 die hard base ball fans.. but unfortunately thats about it.MLB would never survive here. The nBA could have but we were gassed from the start. No first overall pick or chance for one for 5 years. An owner who lied to us when he bought the team. Hiesley may you rott in hell. Stu jackson the most inept general manager in NBA history. Brian hill was the best coach we ever had.. Dick Versace... what a mistake that was.. Big Country Reeves good what a joke he was.. as the CBA team we had come trotting through here over 5 years. MLB won't work as well because Seattle is so Close.. they have fans at safe Co field finally. and a good team. Vancouver now only has hockey, CFL football and Soccer men's and women's.. No Indy car, no Nbam no AAA ball. oh well NFC No fun city.

I have to agree with you. My buddy used to work for Shell and we always got tickets for the Canadians games from him. It was an awesome way to spend a summer afternoon down at Nat Bailey.

We also couldn't keep the Ravens in Vancouver either. Our national sport, Lacrosse, couldn't survive in Vancouver as it has in Calgary and Toronto. A magor league ball team in Vancouver? Not gonna fly.
