Growing up in "the city of THE DUNGEON" and "in the mean time and in between time" watching Stampede Wrestling I have to say there was LOT more grapplin going on back then. Watch it now adays and in the 2 hours its on 1/2 of it is filled with "trash talk" and back stage "interviews". Then there was the "CHILD CUSTODY MATCH" @ Summerslam...... I mean COME ON! There was a time when, even tho you KNEW it was rehearsed it ALMOST seemed believable.

BTW Brett Hart bought my old g/f's Aunts house a few years back.... went over there after he moved in on the pretense of looking for something that was left behind. Great Guy! Offered us a cold one and even sat and chatted for a bit! I used to work out down @ B.J.s gym.... B.J. was married to one of the Hart girls..... Owen even spotted for me once...... tragic loss

I never watched wrestling and never will. It's too just too fake to be entertaining. UFC is way better, at least it's real fighting not a bunch of guys in tights playing dress up and taunting each other with stupid catch phrases. I dunno, that's just my opinion.

Oh for the days of Captain Lou, George the Animal, Roddy Piper and the original Hulkamania. Those were the times that you could actually take kids to the matches and you could expect family entertainment. McMahon may be a consumate businessman but he's turned Wrestling into something else entirely. It's all about who has the most attitude (usually bad).

I had the chance in the 70's to become a wrestler. and even did fight on acouple ofmatches in Montreal but the pay sucked (25.00 per match) and I was doing it as a favour for a buddys Dad.. I dont regret not getting into it.. I uised to go tp the Montreal Forum to see the big names of the day.. The Hollywwod Blonds, Andre the giant, carpentier, Gilles the fish poisson.. don Leo Jonathan, Paul and Joe leduc, those where the days

The kiwi twins came at me and my bud for heckling them, scared the shit out of us as they broke a couple chairs chasing us.That was years ago.

My other friends dad was buds with the stomper and he would stop by to visit sometimes, all us kids could do was look at his boots, did they really have lead weights in them?
