Not much point in spending months out a year at sea if I can't come back and post a bunch of pictures to let the rest of Canada know what they are missing in the most beautiful country in the world! (and the most beautiful province in it  )

These were taken while transiting south down Grenville Channel. At the mouth of it is Gill Island where the MV Queen of the North sank.

That second one looks familiar Gunnair - have you posted that in different thread another time?

Either way amazing pics - truly makes me wonder why I moved back to Alberia :?

[B-o] Thanks again!

No, this one came from the batch taken in Sep. Mind, I may have shot a similar one.

Anytime!

Damn. Another guy was taken the pics! I'll take some next time.

It was weird. Nothing for an hour, then a ton of sculpins, followed by some good 10 pound rockfish, couple of cod, more sculpins, then nothing.

I think the humpback in the bay may have had something to do with it.

Well, the rocks certainly did a job on the bottom! I felt a bit bad for the guy. Poor catch and no insurance. I think he wanted us to tow him off instead of the local salvage company, but we said no way. Not going to get into that kind of liability.
