Went to MacAuley Point this afternoon. Lots of wind and rain to lift my kilt. Beautiful day for photography though.

Really good pics, Gunny. Sorta like the weather we are having out here right now, but replace the rain with snow!

Thanks all. I'd much rather have some snow, though! Send it out, Yogi!

It's been a long time since I shot black and white and I'm going to do it for a while since I quite like it.

Thanks

Yah. I found the 'winter' that I spent down your way to be depressing with all the rain. Couldn't wait to head back north!

Fabulous pics, Gunny.

I have to agree with Yogi, though - I'll take snow over rain any day.

Thanks for posting! :D

Those pics were in B&W were they, this time of year it's really hard to tell, just another beautiful day on the Grey West Coast.

Black and white is much better for the shooter. And you seem to have that extra something in your minds eye to create inside the frame. Most people do not have that gift.
Saw a couple shots where looks like you used a 24mm 2 or 2.8 to drop out nearly all depth of field. Great effect?
Do you ever use acufine to push to 1600 and use grain to become a part of the composition?

Thanks. Still sorting out shooting in manual. Haven't tried the acufine yet.

Red room. Plenty chemical and paper.
Classical music filling the room and hours to play.
A coffee pot.

I'm shooting digital.

It's more like a computer, comfy chair, and a bottle of merlot.
