@fighter - Is it easy for Pakistanis to get there? Kind of like our Whistler (Vancouver)? I'm assuming most Pakistanis have already seen K2 at least a few time in their lives. Is that true? Also is it easy for foreigners to get there?
Hello from Karachi, Pakistan

You have asked few questions. Let me answer them one by one...
Yup. In general sense, It is easy for us to get in those valleys, especially for those Pakistanis who live in northern areas (since these mountains/valleys are in northern Pakistan)
I live in south.
I googled your Whistler, looks almost same to our northern valleys/areas
But I have saw a video of Kiwi climber where he gave details regarding K2 and its route. Let me show you. See this.
No. Most Pakistanis may have gone to valleys and northern areas but I really doubt most have seen K2...That mountain is way up to north and very near to China border. Although most Pakistanis have definitely seen K2 on youtube/TV
I have read that it can be climbed/reached from Chinese side but due to difficult route...Most of climbing/trekking is done from Pakistani side.
Pakistan welcomes foreigners...Lot of foreign climbers come to Pakistan. Climbers have been coming to Pakistan for quite long time. So, I guess, it's quite easy for you guys/tourists to come and see K2. See example
