I didn't see it 4Canada, but it does tell you that there are many Americans just like Canadians who are trying to make a difference, who have fought to make their government do the right thing. It is sad that we are still at the same point, in many ways, but it also gives me hope that people are trying! I think there is more communications today than back then, and so we are aware of the terrible things going on all over the world, we were more dependant on the media in those days. I won't lose hope in humanity!

There was a movie shown in small theaters about a year ago. I wonder if it is the same show?

It is true that they fought for the same stuff then as now. The americans are still doing the same stupid things and people who want change still have the same frustrations.

I guess the question is do we need a weather underground now and even if we had it would the media even tell us?

I understand that there are far more acts of eco violence (if that is a term) than the media is reporting, but I am not sure if that is not just another conspiracy theory.
I just saw the Passionate Eye Documentary and it was quite good. I have to wonder if this whole Iraq affair lasts as long as Vietnam if groups like this will start to form again.

I have to say, some of the Weather Underground's methods were quite distasteful (i.e. the terrorism), and I would caution any Canadian sovereignty groups from using similar tactics - speaking of which, wasn't their just an attack on an electric line in Quebec that was taking energy to the US?
