Every single media is in it for one reason, viewership. No viewers, no CNN and no FOX. The only reason media is crap is because of viewers, that's what they want.

State run media would beg to differ, if it is allowed to do so.

I find patron supported media, not commercially interned, tends to serve the supporters and not the special interests. IE when the users of the media have a significant stake that can't be blithely disregarded without serious damage to the brand, are more accountable.

Cuomo was the next democratic golden boy touted as the next president of the USA and could have very easily have done it had not his own corruption and the corruption of the media gotten in the way. Sadly thousands had to die from Covid needlessly in long term care homes and it wasn't even news until his sexual misconduct was so egregious his brother had to help with PR that ended up getting him fired and outed Zucker as a fraud.
