In this whole nauseating display ignorance and stupidity involving this debt ceiling hysteria the one thing of this that can make us all stand up and cheer is the guts displayed by Gabby Giffords. The one politician that can make you proud. One may or may not agree with their positions but they so command our respect it gives you a good feeling.

I have the same feeling for Jack Layton. He didn't have a mad man shoot him, but he faces a similar fight. He makes me proud too.


These two people are an example for the rest of our politicians to follow.
