There's one that happened last week most of you won't be hearing about but it's causing a lot of fuss in the little sub-culture where it happened. And it keeps growing.

I imagine most have heard the term Gamergate although I doubt they know what it was really about and I doubt they know that it hasn't really stopped.

The SJW arm of the regressive left continues it's lame attempt to move into and control nerd culture and the popular games and fiction that spin out of it. However they have only succeeded in minimizing the power of the mainstream judges of what's hot and what's not. Fewer take them seriously now.

So what's the multi-colored hair crowd doing now? It's trying to move into the fringes of the nerdosphere in some areas while others with more influence lose the war for themselves in the greater culture.

The last 2 Star Wars films were failures. Identity politics fails wherever it tries to infiltrate and control the popular culture too noticeably.

It's happening in the fringes too. There's a guy I follow who's coined a phrase to describe the phenomena: "Get Woke. Go Broke."

His name is Jeremy. You wouldn't have heard of him but he's well known in his fringey little sub-culture of comics no normal person has heard of and nerdy board games.

Jeremy was at a board game convention last week. A guy who likes to wear a 'punch a Nazi' shirt and runs a small, SJW gaming clique jumped him from behind. He suckered punched Jeremy, the alleged "Nazi" with repeated but apparently lame, nerdy blows.

Jeremy escaped but punch-a-nazi guy, just went more psycho, running about screaming and punching windows.

So as I said you wouldn't have heard of any of this yet but if it continues it may get large enough that they can't keep it from you.

According to a new poll, a plurality of Republican voters want President Donald Trump to be able to shut down media outlets if he decides they have engaged in “bad behavior.”

The Ipsos poll, first reported by The Daily Beast, found that 43 percent of Republicans believe “the president should have the authority to close news outlets engaged in bad behavior.” Thirty-six percent of Republicans surveyed said that the president should not have the power to silence the press.

About a quarter of Republicans also said that Trump should shutter mainstream outlets like CNN and The Washington Post. Twenty-eight percent agreed with Trump’s statement that the media are an “enemy of the people.” And 79 percent said that media treats Trump “unfairly.”

Only 12 percent of Democrats said that Trump should be able to shut down outlets he disagrees with. Twenty-one percent of self-identified independents also agreed that Trump should have the power.

Both Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and his counselor, Kellyanne Conway, have recently said that they do not view the press as an enemy of the people.
