This is where the serious policy wonks trial balloon most of their ideas. Yes, it gives plausible deniability because the hosts are so elitist and out of touch they sound tone deaf however a lot of stay at home housewives still facebook clips of the show. If an idea get's traction people notice. Its a cheap psy-op that works for they people that fund it: defence industry, pharmaceuticals being the largest.
