I hate this thread. Ugh.

Anyhow, Trit and Shep. I could give less of a fuck how similar our histories are. I could care even less that we both "came from the same mother". It doesn't mean we have to move in the same destructive path as them without any of our own say. It doesn't mean that we should be absorbed into their POS culture. It doesn't mean that we have to move in the same path as them for the future. What is with you people believing that Canada shouldn't have it's own say in the world?

I'm not sure what is going on with Canadians as a whole. Not sure of it's because of the Internet... more attention is placed on a Canadian/USA unification.

It just seems many more Canadian's are considering a unified Canada/USA as a possible future...

I mean, I just went to YouTube and search "united north america"

Is it just me or are Canadians identifying themselves way to much with the USA??

Now where exactly has anyone mentioned that in this thread? :?:

Or maybe it's just you reading way too much into things.

Your anti-Americanism and pretending to speak for Canadians is tiring. It reeks of someone who hasn't been anywhere else in the world other than where mom has dragged his whiney ass. You definitely don't represent my idea of what Canada could/should be, just as I'm sure you abhor my idea of Canadianism.

Maybe it's time for you to grow up, do some travelling and then speak from a more informed position instead of prattling on exposing yourself as someone withoput a clue.

Say Mr Canada, you should buy an Ameripass from Greyhound. It lets you travel unlimited the whole United States by bus for a month and see the country from coast-to-coast. Chat with folks on the bus between points, and get their perspective on things.

When I was your age, for 2 years I just hit the road and travelled across Canada and the United States, and the Northern States of Mexico.

I wouldn't advise you to travel the northern Mexican states now....

I would prefer Canada to annex the USA. The Presidence and Congress are so screwed up we need to junk it and start over, with Canada annexing the United States we would have the opportunity to do that.

It won't happen but it is a nice though.

Thats a good idea Mr. Canada.I would reccomend waiting untill you are 21 years old, seeing as how that is the drinking age in the States. It would be a lame ass vacation watching everyone else having fun.Nothing worse than being 18 in the States.

I put some thought into this. The "North American Union" or NAU sounds a tad clunky so I'm thinking the 'Union of North America' or UNA sounds better. I'm figuring we could put the capitol in Churchill in the hopes that the polar bears would help thin out the population of ignorant politicians from California who think that polar bears are cuddly and friendly creatures who really just need a hug.

Just a thought.

I like that idea! I would like to send Congress up there where the polar bears can munch on Senator Bunning and Congresssman Charles Rangle in addition to others. The bears would be well fed, but they may be toxic to bears as well, I'd hate for them to be on a steady diet of pure BS.

I loled.

In Mass Effect 2, I believe it's called United North American States. Which do you think sounds better?

Yah, the 'states' thing is a little USA-centric for my tastes.

I'd be more inclined to a name that made it clear the result was a union or partnership of equals.

I mean this in the most inoffensive way possible:

I know absolutely no one who seriously believes Canada should join up with the United States.

Not a soul. And I don't live in a very patriotic town. This place was dead during the Olympics.

But no one here wants to be American. I don't know anyone who hates themselves for being born in Canada and wants to lead some movement to have our beautiful country become assimilated by the USA.

I'm sure I've heard of significantly more people joking about the exact opposite.

The only place I have EVER heard of this issue is on CKA, by you. And you're the only one still talking about it.

I'm sure you'll find thousands of websites about Anarchy, but does that relate to public support? Not really. It relates to the number of people who believe in fringe politics and have internet access.

I'm sure I've heard of more Americans on CKA joking support for Canada to assimilate the United States than I've heard of people supporting Canada's annexation into the Unites States - as far as 'public opinion' goes (nowhere).

I don't imagine that being likely. I, nor my family, are rich. And I don't like the idea of skipping out on work for a month just to visit a near third-world country on a shitty bus. Then again, I don't take any vacations.
