polygamy will probably become legal eventually. seems like the 60's is finally getting legislative approval.

i have great doubt that pedophilia will ever be socially tolerated again, only the sick will defend it. it's a scar on human history. columbus trading 9 year old native girls because they were "in demand". the failure of the system to protect children is not a social movement.

at most i could see the statutory laws being taken down, but society is solidly interested in protecting children from unwanted interaction. those who say things like "she asked for it" are far more likely to be sexist, thinking restricting women will save them, rather than being in favour of any sort of pedophilia.

Many on the US Religious Right are doubling down and are now calling for the Execution of Homosexuals. They are mostly Ministers of known radicalization who try to hide behind the Bible about it, but their number is growing and even some Politicians have started moving towards that position.

Part of me likes that they are, because it continues to expose the poison of Religious belief and undermines the blind respect given to Theism. Another part is concerned for the future though as millions are susceptible to joining them and causing great harm to many.
