This is the dead man: Walter Lamer Scott - reportedly not a criminal but a very respected man in Charleston. His service picture shows someone I'd be happy to have as a friend.

[huh]

Perhaps that statement needs to be revised.

I have had friends in worse trouble than just failing to pay child support. This guy had actually done a better job of getting his life in order than some of the guys I used to hang with. Some of them drank themselves dead. Some are homeless or drifting.

http://www.newsday.com/news/nation/walt ... 1.10240776

Not to condone what he did, but the hell of putting people in jail for failing to make child support payments is they lose their jobs and then end up in a vicious circle of trying to catch up. The courts may as well install a revolving door at the jail.

Had this guy actually been my friend I would have gotten him to New Zealand where they have taken in several American men as refugees when they can demonstrate a pattern of abuse by the family courts.

Failing to pay child support is abuse of the child. Didn't deserve to have been gunned down, but he was a deadbeat POS .

The problem with court-ordered child support is that it is inflexible. A guy loses his job and is still required to pay and be caught up and if he gets behind and can't catch up he goes to jail, loses another job, falls further behind, and the cycle just grinds on.

Now the man is dead and the child won't get dick for child support.

Tell me how this process served the best interests of the child? And did this man ultimately deserve to die over unpaid child support?

FFS, I'm pretty cold, but not even I am that cold.

And yet he was looking at buying the Mercedes he was driving at the time. Must'a been getting one helluva sweet deal on it.
Yes, I understand that people need a car and no one would fault him for buying a car if it meant securing some kid of employment. But if you've got money to pay for a premium name plate, you have money to pay at least some of your back child support.

Again though, none of what I've said in here is intended in any way to justify his cold-blooded murder.

Don't be too impressed by the name 'Mercedes'. Some of them are cheap crap that can be had cheap on the used market:

Here's why people in New York City shoot their cops.

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=89e_1428631221

Raiding the wrong house. And then doubling down on the stupid by insisting on searching the wrong house.

At least they weren't shot 32 times each for resisting arrest.

More tyranny from the Thugs With Badges:

-----------------------

Freddie Gray saw some Baltimore cops and for whatever reason he decided to run. The cops, like pit bulls, instinctively gave chase although they had ZERO probable cause (running in public being a perfectly legal activity) and they tackled him to the ground apparently breaking his leg as they did so.

After the cops loaded him into a police van they broke his neck, severing eighty percent of his spinal cord. The kid died at the hospital this week and the police refuse to release his body for a private autopsy and at least one news program reported that the cops are trying to have the body cremated against the family's wishes.

-----------------------

Meanwhile in Wisconsin the police and prosecutors are using the law to persecute people who supported Scott Walker as their governor.

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/4 ... rich-lowry

------------------------

In California a man is being paid $650,000 after he was chased and then taken into custody. With a news helicopter orbiting overhead and getting the whole thing on video the man who finally surrendered was savagely kicked and beaten by ten San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputies - all of whom are now on leave and under investigation for civil rights violations.

In Los Angeles a US Marshal attacked a woman who was video recording a raid on the Mongols Motorcycle gang. She was approximately 50 meters away from where the raid was taking place and was well within her rights to do what she was doing.

The shaved-head freak who attacked her and tried to destroy her cell phone looks like one of the gang members the Marshals were raiding.

The US Marshals office says they are investigating the incident and to their credit they acknowledge that this roid-raging thug is one of theirs.

An unarmed black man was shot and paralyzed from the waist down because he had a cell phone in his hand.

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=1ff_1429827941

Predictably, the officer's department says the shooting of the unarmed man was justified. Fuckers.

He might have been ready to hit 'record'. Can't have him recording with intent!

Here's some LA cops dogpiling and violating the rights of a homeless man to keep and bear an umbrella.

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=e46_1429817152

Note that this is on the beach and that's a VERY liberal area and here's these people cussing out and standing up to the usual intimidation tactics. Also notice the cops not doing their usual antics of seizing cell phones and beating up on people who complain. This crowd was pissed and this situation was on the verge of becoming a riot and these cops were scared.

Check out the thug at around 3:47 scanning back and forth. These jerks were worried.

Yep, we're getting closer and closer.

Slowly, they are getting the hint that they enforce the law, not become it.

I don't know if they're getting that hint or not, but at least they're learning they can't just do this crap with impunity and expect that people will be okay with because, hey, the cops have badges so that makes them infallibly right just like the Pope!

I'm normally a big supporter of the police but to say you have a problem in your country with police running amok is an understatement.
