It's really more of a case of Freud's repetition compulsion.

Every nation has this, where there are sacred cows that can't be killed no matter how much damage they do. To be fair, this was written from a "left" pov but the left has their sacred cows too.

This is false. Jared Loughner obtained his gun by means of a felony.

Allow me to explain.

Sportsman’s Warehouse is a Federally licensed firearm dealer (FFL). They are required to obtain an ATF form 4473 for every firearm transaction they have. This form captures personal data about the purchaser, and that data is then used to preform a NICS (National Instant Criminal System) background check.

Jared Loughner lied on this form.

Saying he was "allowed" to buy a gun is disingenious at best, since he aquired the gun by lying which is not allowed but does seem to have worked for him.

"Criminals do not follow the law."

Deal with them, not the rest of law abiding gun owners.

Barry Goldman doesn't realize that yes Americans do have the power to drastically change gun control laws, they just need 2/3rds of Congress and 3/4th of the states to agree with them.
