It would be nice if it were true, but it's way to early to say. Dan mentions Carter, but if Carter had rescued the hostages a year and a half before the election, and the economy had stayed the way it was, Raygun would definitely have had a shot. Unless there's an immediate threat, or the economy is booming, it's always the economy, stupid. If there's no war and the economy is booming it's "we're bored, amuse us."

With the media and the left now turning on Obama for the 'illegal' assassination of a 'foreign leader' I'm thinking that any positive bounce he got from Sunday's news is already over.
