The extent of globalization, & the lack of a concerted, effective, world-wide movement to oppose such corruption & the rule of international business/capitalism (its effective negation of sovereignty and democratic governments) through "trade" deals, is both astounding and appalling! What does it take to stop such massive erosion of the will of the majority? Laws prohibiting the supplanting of democratic rule by corporate elites nearly impossible to enact, given ties of business to governments, given the same people are involved in both structures and profit from these.
