Assalam Alikum - Hello, Folks.

I am probably the only guy here who is from Pakistan...No?

Well...How far are these two countries? Canada and Pakistan?...too far. Sometimes, we get curious about what the people, living thousand of miles away, think about world and us...One of my reason to join your forum, Canadians :)

I developed interest in joining forums like these as it enhances one's thinking and also help you to speak/write and understand English better.

Let me inform you. I am not at all good in English language. I am a beginner so please excuse me for my English.

I hope I will contribute positively to this forum.

What’s next for your cricket team? They have been up and down so much. When do you think you will play India again? Squash and field hockey are two other sports where Pakistan seems to have faded a bit.

I chose this nickname because this describes for how long I am trying to improve myself - shutting down my weaknesses and getting positive/relaxed/happy. :)

The only chance Pakistan will get playing with Indian cricket team is in world cup 2019. Both teams don't go for regular series due to bad relations/politics b/w both. The coming world cup will be hosted by England and Wales, from 30 May to 14 July 2019. Australians will be defending the title.

Yeah...Hockey and Squash remind us of our lost glory. Hopefully, things will get better on these...But people are really mad at cricket so much that they don't focus on other sports...Almost everyone is playing cricket here in Pakistan. We are obsessed with Cricket. :x

We had a good result against you at the World Cup a decade back when poor old Woolmer died. I guess the betting scandals and terrorism have taken their toll on Pakistani cricket. There's no question the biggest rivalry in the game is Pakistan/India. Back in 05 I watched the games you played against each other starting at around 5am local time with a room of screaming Indians. I was designated as the token Pakistan supporter to even things up. Let's hope you can renew such matches soon,

Nope...Most of the Pakistanis will find "pakis" quite offensive as this term was first used by British in a racist tone. I think this below wikipedia article tells us about that. You can call us "Pakistanis" :)

That was terrible moment for Pakistanis...No one was expecting that upset would happen and Pakistan be thrown out of world cup...Irish did astonished every cricket fan and may be it must had help for cricket to gain popularity in Ireland. Yes, we feel sorry for Woolmer.

We have PSL (Pakistan Super League, 3rd edition) right at corner. This event will happen in moth or two and hopefully some of the matches will held in Pakistan or final at least. This is what being planned..

Terrorism is in decline, now. Security is vastly improved and tourism is rising steadily. Hopefully, we'll go fine and good.

Yeah, some would say the rivalry b/w Pak and India is equal to rivalry of Ashes b/w Australia and England. You should watch latest last match held b/w Pak and India - a champion trophy final. We Pakistanis will never forget that match 8) Here are its highlights. Enjoy :)
