It is loser to vote for our political representative; it is winner to take politics into our own hands. So, I propose the creation of a federal political party. This party would be a centrist party that will radically convert voters and deputies from all existing parties, including the Bloc Quebecois. The framework of this party would be a dialogical ethics.

I rather see this nation run by no political party. More individual vote , more representative of the serving county. No Conservative slash Libral labelings bs.

We see in Iraq what it gives when a bunch of "anarchists" meets a bunch of "imperialists".

Creating a political party with pessimism like that? Good luck with that.

Pessimists would be the easiest persons to convert to this new party/program.

We are not Iraq. Do you always mix your oranges with your apples?

You want to put Canada in a situation closer to the messy Iraq; I want to do, with this new party, the opposite.

Bender Bending Rodriguez needs to hide his moral weaknesses behind a robot-like armour.

We have too many parties as it is that for most part are regional representatives. We need to do away with some parties in order for our government to function better...bye bye Layton....bye bye duceppe....bye bye Dion

Surely this is a joke. Whether you could convince anyone to join a party of your creation is hardly worth a comment.

Red_Eye's point, however, is worth one - shifting away from partisan politics is something I'd strongly support at all levels of government. I attented portions of the PC Annual General Meeting this year (as a guest) and I'm even more convinced than ever that partisan foolishness is consuming the efforts of our politicians while the real issues suffer.

A party based on dialogic ethics is the best way to shift away from partisan politics; it is the best way to introduce a lasting direct democracy.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Partisan politics is going to be the death of democracy someday, not to mention a lot of wasted time and lack of true representation for those who they claim to represent.

Personally, I want the Rhino Party back in Canada. With who we have to choose from in the next upcoming election, they would be a true alternative...Oy, we have a sad state of affairs in Canadian politics right now.
