I will look for it. If it is crime stories that you write, have you ever tried the Hitchcock Magazine? |

One more sale and I'm going to try and get me an agent and put out a book of short stories. The novel thing ain't going anywheres. (Thanks for the tip, eureka. I'm aware of Hitchcock and Ellery Queen. They only take hard copies of manuscripts though, so the hassle factor is pretty high. Mind you, they pay well, if you have the patience.) |

Do you still own the rights to those stories? You probably need to read the sales contracts - the publishers may still own the rights. If not, I say e-publish it yourself instead. You'll get higher royalties and it will be available much quicker if you do - plus it will never go out of print like traditionally published books do. BTW, sorry about the novel...it sounded interesting. |

BTW, sorry about the novel...it sounded interesting. The novel might still happen, who knows. Fact is I really do love the short form, and I'm not running short of ideas. Actually, last might I was typing in some, kind of, memoirs of my days on the road with band, and I noticed I've got like 80 pages. Could techncially dress that up as a novel. The jury is still out on the self-publishing bit. And thank for the encouragement! I have rights to all the stories. I'm pretty careful not to sell them for more than year. And I hope everyone here has bought a copy of Gunnair's novel. |

Thanks for sharing that Zip... It adjusts one's perspective on life to read about how it is, I mean ACTUALLY is, somewhere else that is hard to imagine unless you are there to see it. It's one thing to read a media story about it, it's something else altogether to read about it from someone like you, who is sharing your experience with us here on cka. Brings it home that much more. |

Let me know when you've decided to write something inspired by Lovecraft. |
