No dedicated servers and Steam has too much control. I've played it online once and only played single player up to the Airport level. The game sucked so stayed with COD5.

I would have to stay Star Wars Galaxies was the worst not the game but the way Sony totaly ruined it with the way they supported it.


I played SWG for 4 years to get my jedi toon. played from beta on. Did not like the CU (combat upgrade) but dealt with it. However after teh NGE(New Game Enhancements). I QUIT!!! I'm now looking forward to 'The Old Republic.' by Bioware. Hope they do the Star Wars license justice.

I have to agree, Alpha Centauri was a rockin game.

LOTR, all of them excpt the online one (I haven't tried that one yet).

LOTR online IMO at least, is pretty damn good and it's HUGE. With new content added fairly regularily. However a fairly high end machine will make game play better as it tends to get very clunky when you're in a group fighting against a group whether NPCs or in PvP.

Biggest disappointments for me were MOH Frontline and the Pacific one for the PS2. Frontline was fun but wayyyy to short. The Pacific one just felt like it was rushed together. MOH Allied Assault was great,I kept wondering when the danm game would end :lol: Pacific Assault was just another grinding game. It was ALL grind.
The other big disappointment was HALO 3. Long on graphics, VERY short on play.

And one last comment. I still prefer the original Final Fantasy to the rest of the series. I dunno why, the graphics are pretty bad comparatively but I have hated the rest of the series, maybe because they reminds me WAY too much of Japanimation, which I have hated for nigh on 45 years now. That and the 2nd one pissed me off the way they kept switchng your party NPCs on you. :|

Yes, the hackers are outrageous. But, there are ways to piss them off, and I am left with the satisfaction they will eventually be banned.

Worst over hyped? Bioshock. I bought it, and didn't make it of the elevator. Something about it was incompatible with my system, or it was just crap. I couldn't reconfigure the keyboard. I couldn't figure out how to even get off the damn elevator. I uninstalled it, and it left behind it's crappy DRM that screwed my system even further. Their support was useless, when you got someone who spoke enough English to understand you. What a waste of my time.

Second on the list, Dawn of War II. Don't get me wrong. I have played Warhammer 40k for nearly 20 years, and I have all the Dawn of War games. But that one was disappointing to me. Not just because of the overwhelming DRM, but because it was so repetitive. You have to figure out the one 'line' to take to win the objective, and it takes dozens of tries to succeed. By the time you get sufficiently advanced, you find you are screwed because you took too long, and you have to restart the whole thing to be able to win the game.

At least MW2 runs, runs well, and is a lot of fun. Not as much as Unreal Tournament 3, but that game had dedicated servers that were open to modding.

I think BIOWARE will make a great game but because SONY made such a great game and then abandoned it they created a chance to make the game free for all via the EMU. Check it out sometime.

Can somebody explain why this game was even hyped? The PS3 version was a bad port from the 360 version, the character design was meh, and the concept is nothing new.

Heck, the first time I ever saw the character Bayonetta, I thought of the hot blonde teacher from FFVIII:
